Welcome aboard and be part of An AIDS Free Africa

ImageI Choose Life – Africa (ICL) is one of the leading Non-Governmental Organizations that has contributed greatly to HIV prevention efforts among the youth in Kenya today. The NGO was incepted in 2002 with an objective of contributing to the reduction of HIV prevalence and susceptibility to infections among the youth in institutions of higher learning, out of school youth, high school youth and the community. After a successful first year at the University of Nairobi in 2003, the Commission for Higher Education (CHE) recommended ICL to all Kenyan universities.  Since then, the program has successfully expanded to seventeen tertiary institutions including six universities, and is also reaching to out of school youth and communities across six provinces in Kenya. ICL is also partnering with the Ministry of Education to reach out to high school youth. With a vision of an AIDS Free Africa, ICL's mission is to contribute to the Kenya National AIDS strategic plan (KNASP) III by empowering youth to make informed and responsible choices on HIV/AIDS and life, through prevention, care and support and mitigation of the socio-economic impact.
